I have made a few observations about Malaysia so far, but they're not judgments, they're observations. While things may seem backwards and chaotic, everything works and flows and people still go about their way.

1. No cold water. This is the toughest one so far. Everything is served luke-warm.

2. Drive wherever you want. Literally. If there's pavement, just drive on it. If not, drive on the grass.

3. I saw a family of 4 people on a motor-scooter on the highway.

4. Cemeteries on hill-sides.

5. Everyone stares at you like they're never seen a white person before and they want to kill you.

6. If it's not your land, you're entitled to throw garbage on it.

7. Traffic laws are more like traffic maybes.

8. Everything is locked and gated.

9. I showered in the middle of a bathroom. Quite bizarre, but again, it works so why not?

10. No cold water. (As you can tell this pisses me off to NO avail)

More to come, I've been writing them down in my trusty kitten notebook.

Kevin
Kevin Growney is alive and in Malaysia in the arms of his girlie. Sooooooooooo good.
And he's all his luggage in one piece.

Prehistoric Reflections.

I leave for Malaysia tomorrow, on a jet-plane. Right now I'm chillin' at Claudia's house with her parents. They don't speak English.

We went out to Red Lobster and I got the feeling that people assumed we were a German family and that I was just another German boy (the blonde hair).

Am I excited to go to Malaysia? I suppose so.

I'm not excited to sit on my ass in an airplane for the weekend. Literally.

Last night, Alex, Danni, Beth, Phillip, and I all went out. Debauchery ensued. We climbed on the tiger and swam in the fountain. Cartwheels were preformed in the middle of 9th street. Somewhere in the shuffle I lost my shirt.

?

I think I fell down because I hurt. I know I fell off my bike in the parking lot in front of my house. I remember just completely failing and being sprawled out on the pavement. Pretty monumental.

One thing last night did happen that made me think, and it happened in the Blue Fugue with Danni, Alex, Beth and I. We all took turns and said something nice about someone else at the table. I feel like people should do that more often, it may seem jejune, but props to Beth for that idea.

I get to see my girlfriend here in a couple days. It is going to be really good. I miss her.

Except the fact that she asks about about a thousand questions a minute.

She's going to be surprised when she finds out that I crammed all her SHIT that I was instructed to bring her into my bag and that I'm not bringing two bags. Don't tell her.

Well, this is where I'm going to stop.

WHAT DID I JUST DO!?!?!

Well, apparently I just made a blog. So here's a little bit about me.

I hate people who use incorrect English.

I've recently been abandoned, which has left me with an uncanny ability to talk to myself.
I'm not sure if that's a good thing though.

Most of the summer I spend on a tractor, in a doctor's office, or in surgery.
Mostly on a tractor though.

I study Spanish at MU. It's my major. I enjoy Spanish very much, if I had the opportunity I would speak it more than I do English. I dream in Spanish sometimes, although I don't really notice when it happens.

I listen to weird music, and my favorite genre is probably Bachata. Look it up.

I can't say that everything that I post on here is going to be in English. But, I plan to provide translations.

Enough of that.

I'll be jet-setting all over the world here come three days.

Suet's pretty cool.

I like to ride my bike drunk a lot. It's better than driving and <more> legal, or <less> illegal, whichever way you choose to look at it. It's good exercise.

Alex is my home boy and so is Kevin.

Yes, I do have a best friend with the same name as me and I call him Kevin, but he does exist.

I recently purchased a new camera so I can put pictures up. It's pink. (on clearance)

I have a cat b/c she doesn't shit on the carpet.

Never done this before so we'll just have to see how it goes. I've my trusty macbook with me and we'll just take it from there.

Nos vemos.
